Rothbury Community Church

We had the opportunity to join Dr. Ron Cline of HCJB Global as he visited Rothbury Community Church in Rothbury, Michigan this past Sunday. Equipped with a deep voice and dynamic speaking style, he always delivers a powerful message that is difficult to forget. Then we also had a few moments to share briefly about our ministry.

His message was about how we are living in an exciting period of time, the Harvest, and more to the point, that if we don’t open our eyes and look at the needs around us and take care of those needs, we’ll miss it.
He told a story about a Pastor in South Africa who felt God’s calling to start a radio station, had no idea what that meant but went to the government and asked for permission to start this station. They told him no, ten times he went back to the government and was told no, but on the eleventh time they said yes but with several conditions including that they had to be on air within 30 days. Here Ron made sure to point out that by all accounts, this was impossible, even HCJB Global would have a hard time doing that. So this Pastor hopped on a plane for the United States in search of help. He lands in Miami knowing nobody, grabs a phone book and starts calling churches at random, ends up calling a church that happened to be having their Missions’ week and as it would later turn out, was also having HCJB Global as a guest as well. HCJB Global and this Pastor hook up and form a Christian radio station that is now the number one station is South Africa. But the church didn’t stop there; they started to notice the needs of homeless people around them and started a food kitchen. They then turned their attention to their medical needs and begun a number of clinics and other medical activities in the area. Now this church is reaching hundreds of people with the good news of Jesus Christ and providing valuable services to those in need.
That Pastor and church had, as Ron Cline put it, an eternal view and their eyes open for the Harvest.
Revelation 14:15
Then another angel came out of the temple and called in a loud voice to him who was sitting on the cloud, "Take your sickle and reap, because the time to reap has come, for the harvest of the earth is ripe."
