Financial Breakdown

Hello All,

We just got an update on the support that we need to raise. Unfortunately the amount went up, but only slightly. The new numbers are reflected under the support thermometer on the top right of this website.

To help explain how the funding gets split up, I have attached a financial breakdown under the “downloads” section on the left hand margin. You can download the PDF and take a look. Please note that this file is an estimated budget based on HCJB World Radio’s past experience and estimates and that all amounts are subject to change.

Most of the funding will go to support our ministry, but 10% will be taken off the top of any donation for administration fees. They use the 10% to pay for operating expenses of the administrative staff. Then 14.5% goes for our medical plan. We have $934 then taken out for Social Security, Retirement, and a Health Reimbursement Account (HRA), which is similar to a Flex Spending Account, if you’re familiar with that. The remainder is essentially our pay, but even that is broken up into a few different accounts.

The above covers the “required” amount. Then there is the “recommended” amount, the additional amount would be used for buying supplies and equipment for our ministry. So stamps, paper, or a printer would all be examples of what would fall into this category. This is a regulated account; we can’t just buy anything with our ministry funds. This is to ensure that there is accountability for these funds. Essentially purchases need to be approved by HCJB World Radio to be paid for with this account.

Please let me know if you would like any additional clarification. We recognize that the amount we need to raise for each month is big; but every penny is accounted for. We just want everyone to understand that it is critical that we do reach the support levels that we are targeting. Every monthly pledge and one time gift gets us closer to being able to go.

God Bless,
