Vacation Bible School 2007

We spent a week this month working as team leaders, or crew chiefs as we were called, at our Church’s Vacation Bible School! This year’s theme was the Incredible Race, and the entire church building was all decked out in NASCAR and images from Pixar’s movie Cars… the kids absolutely loved it!
While the entire week was a blast, there was nothing like watching the kids sing songs while doing all the motions.
After singing and dancing, it was outside for some fun on the field!
The craft this year was to build a pinewood derby car. The kids designed, sanded, painted, they did everything other then cutting it out. The creativity was just amazing!

After the kids had built all their cars, the week’s grand finale was a picnic and the “Incredible Race”, where the kids got to race their cars on the track. Everyone was there from the kids, to their parents, grandparents, church members, VBS helpers - and everyone had just a great time!!
VBS is always a crazy week… but always worth the time investment. It was such a blessing to see these kids have fun and learn about God.
