Outer Banks

Ever since we moved to North Carolina, we have wanted to go see the Ocean, so last weekend we rented a car, grabbed our tent and cooler, and took off for the coast. Around three and a half hours later we rolled into our campsite ready for some exploring.
This is a picture of Dennis standing next to our tent. It looks crooked because of the strong winds. It stormed that first night and with the winds already so strong we had to sleep in the car. We survived the night and woke expecting everything to be soaked, but to our great surprise everything was completely dry.
From there we checked out the Wright Brothers National Memorial in Kill Devil Hills, walked the beaches for shells, and went crabbing (don't worry we let the little guys go... we went across the street to eat crab).

I wish there was enough room to post all our pictures, as I think there are a lot of good ones. But, if you click here, Sarah posted an online photo album you can checkout.
